As a participating installer for Newfoundland’s new Oil to Electric Incentive Program, Cooper’s specializes in converting oil-fired heating systems over to electric in towns and communities throughout the Avalon Peninsula! The program is being delivered through takeCHARGE, a joint initiative between Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro.

Oil to Electric rebates can cover a large portion of the cost of switching from an oil boiler or furnace to an electric unit. If you have an oil-fired hot water heating system or an oil-fired hot air heating system, now could be the time to convert!

How to Apply:

  • A copy of your Cooper’s Heating Solutions Inc. quote which can include the removal and disposal of your existing oil-fired equipment and installation of your new electric boiler or furnace.

  • An electrical quote (We can help with this).

  • A statement from your oil company or copies of oil receipts for a consecutive 12 month period over the last 3 years showing a minimum consumption of 1,000 litres of oil.

  • A photo of your current oil tank HOST tag number. This can be found on the small brass tag attached to the tank’s vent pipe.

  • Your electricity or utility account number.

  • The name, Social Insurance number and signature of your spouse or common-law partner (if applicable).

Applications are currently being accepted and is retroactive to April, 1, 2023!
