Hot water in-floor heating is a very popular system that provides a clean and quiet primary heating solution for your entire home. The in-floor PEX tubing can be run throughout the home through various installation methods, including: in concrete, in joist with or without heat transfer plates, above the floor under a thin layer of concrete or above the floor using the Quik Trak® method. An electric boiler (also known as a “furnace” to some) is used to heat the water and distribute it throughout the home. In-floor heating can be zoned to a certain space. This allows for better control of temperature in multiple areas of the home, increasing the overall efficiency of the heating system.
